Shanxi Towngas CBM liquefaction plant is joint  invested  by Hong Kong  Towngas and Shanxi Jinmei Group . The liquefaction capacity is  25 × 104Nm3 / d. Chengdu Air is in charge of the design of process packets,  supplement of equipments  equipment and management of site construction.
The coal bed gas liquefaction plant started the commission from November 21, 2008 ,  all performance parameters met and over the design specifications. The smooth commissioning of this plant must be credited to the sincere cooperation between Hong Kong  China Gases  and Chengdu Air,  This plant has achieved the following domestic first:
·The first coal bed gas liquefaction plant and all devices are fabricated domestically;
·The first low power consumption , mixed refrigeration process (MRC) with fully independent intellectual property ;

·The first shortest commissioning period  of MRC refrigeration technology used in natural gas / coal-bed methane liquefaction plant;
·The first LNG / LCBM devices that has been conducted Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP);
·The first storage LNG / LCBM tank (4500m3) with inner pressure near to normal atmosphere.
